Why should kids have all the fun? If you’re looking for unique ideas for Hens and Bucks parties, Larrikin Puppets also perform fun adult puppet shows from PG to R rated!
Brett Hansen, Elissa Jenkins and their troupe of puppet characters are witty and clever enough to provide top quality, cringe free puppet entertainment and fun for adults all over South East Queensland. Perhaps you’re a fan of Avenue Q, Crank Yankers, The Happytime Murders or The Muppets. There’s no reason why adults can’t enjoy a crazy puppet show to make their special Hens and Bucks parties memorable! Below are the details:
We have version of the show that’s suitable for everyone (including kids if any are present), but for Hens and Bucks parties that are strictly adults only, things can get a little blue. The puppet show is 30 minutes of songs, games, jokes, skits and comical interaction with the audience – performed in the puppetry style of Sesame Street and The Muppets. We consult with the person booking the show to give us all the dirt on the victim (hen or buck) so we can incorporate various references, jokes and embarrassing stories about them into the puppet show.
This is followed by an additional demonstration about how all the puppets work. People love being asked to come up and help us perform a couple of the puppets. Always great for a laugh from the rest of the audience. Then we do a brief meet-and-greet where people have an opportunity to have their photo (or selfie) taken with some of the puppets.
We’ve performed many adults only puppet shows in the past, including a 21st birthday masquerade ball, a 60th birthday lunch, a Christmas In July restaurant function, our comedy theatre production, “Show Of Hands“, and a pre-movie puppet show at the Brisbane premiere of R-rated puppet movie “The Happytime Murders”! Judging by the laughter, applause and feedback we get from grown ups at kids’ parties and public events, it seems pretty clear that a lot of adults wish it was socially acceptable to book a puppet show for their grown up event! With Larrikin Puppets, it IS acceptable! Book a puppet show for adults at Hens and Bucks parties!
The session lasts 45 minutes in total.
