Little blue monster Marina loves the sea. She and her brother Troggg set sail in their boat to discover and meet all the different creatures that live there. It’s a delightful, all-singing, all-dancing adventure at sea.
ARRIVAL AND SET UP
Elissa and Brett arrive at the venue two hours prior to the starting time of the show (for example, an 8:30am arrival for a 10:30am session) to park, load all of the equipment into the performance space and set up for the session or sessions.
REQUIREMENTS
We require a parking space for our van as close as possible to the performance space or nearest entry door to allow for easy and quick loading and unloading of our heavy and awkward equipment. Whenever possible, we’re often allowed to park our van right next to the building where the performance is taking place.
If all of the equipment needs to be carried a long distance between the van and the performance space, we would require a few extra hands to assist with the load in.
We bring our own P.A. speakers, wireless headset microphones and other sound equipment, so we require access to one power outlet.
PERFORMANCE SPACE
We require a performance space approximately 3 metres by 4 metres, plus additional room for the audience.
PACK DOWN
After the show, Elissa and Brett pack down all of the equipment and load out. This takes approximately one and a half hours.
BLUE CARD AND INSURANCE
Brett’s Working with Children Blue Card number is 1161011/4, and Elissa’s is 690261/4. We have public liability insurance through Duck For Cover Entertainers Insurance.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OVERSEAS
We completed three months of professional development in the USA, which included performances and advanced training with Jim Henson puppeteers from The Muppets and Sesame Street.
