Having recently relocated to the Sunshine Coast (directly after a three month residency in New York City), Troggg the blue monster and his Larrikin Puppets friends are available to perform some of the zaniest kids entertainment Sunshine Coast has ever seen!
The puppet show features songs, games, jokes, skits and comical interaction with the audience. The style of puppetry is a bit like The Muppets and Sesame Street, but starring our own unique, original characters.
This is followed by a presentation after the show where puppeteer Brett Hansen (sometimes joined by co-puppeteer Elissa Jenkins) explains how all the puppets work. Then a bit of a meet-and-greet with Troggg. Kids (and parents too!) often like to get photos and selfies with him during this time.
The puppet show plus the additional “How the puppets work” presentation, meet-and-greet and photo session lasts approximately 45 minutes in total.
The puppeteer arrives at the event 45 minutes prior to the show starting time for set-up of the puppet stage, sound equipment, props and puppets. Pack-down afterwards usually takes around 30 minutes. The total visiting time from arrival to leaving is 2 hours.

We recently completed three months of professional development and formal training in the USA with puppeteers from The Muppets and Sesame Street. And now we’re here to entertain in Caloundra, Kawana Waters, Maroochydore, Buderim, Coolum, Nambour, Noosa, Landsborough, Maleny, Pelican Waters and everywhere else around the Sunshine Coast.
We’ve already performed puppet shows at birthday parties in Palmwoods, Shorncliffe and Woorim, childcare centres in Beerwah, Sippy Downs, Woombye and Caboolture, a Bunnings store in Morayfield, a dance school in Bellara, and special public puppet shows at the Tewantin Noosa RSL, the Redcliffe Sails Festival and in Brennan Park, Bongaree. We even performed every day at the 2016/17 Woodford Folk Festival! Larrikin Puppets is the kind of zany, fun kids entertainment Sunshine Coast deserves!
