Larrikin Puppets Early Learning Incursion Program
Larrikin Puppets offers boutique, specialist-led early learning puppetry incursions crafted for children and educators who value world-class, theatre-quality performance and meaningful hands-on interaction.
We offer three flexible options for childcare centres and kindergartens:
- Option 1: Puppet Show Performance
- Option 2: Puppet Play Program (including Puppets For Babies: Sensory Joy)
- Option 3: Puppet Show + Puppet Play Program (Premium Full Program)
We recommend booking 2–3 incursions per year (for example: 2 x Puppet Shows and 1 x Puppet Play, or 1 x Puppet Show and 2 x Puppet Play programs). Centres may also book Option 3 for two premium incursions delivered in one seamless visit.
As a premium early learning incursion provider, we understand that some smaller centres may only be able to book one session per year. We are grateful for every opportunity to bring our puppets to your children.
To help make our content more accessible, we have received government funding to develop Little Larrikins Learning, an online video streaming service featuring our early learning content and beloved puppet characters. We look forward to sharing news of its launch.
Option 1: Puppet Show
Duration: 45 minutes | 2 Performers: Brett Hansen and Elissa Jenkins
Suitable for: Ages 0–5
Group size: Up to 70 or 70+
A high-energy, all-ages theatre-style performance featuring colourful Muppet-style characters, funny skits, catchy songs, games, and audience participation. Some performances conclude with a short behind-the-scenes demonstration showing how the puppets work.

Option 2: Puppet Play
Duration: 30–60 minutes | Facilitator: Elissa Jenkins or Hanna
Suitable for: All ages including babies
Group size: Up to 22 children per session
Puppet Play is a hands-on, small-group program where children explore storytelling, creativity, collaboration and confidence using a variety of puppets including hand, glove, finger and shadow puppets.

Option 3: Puppet Show + Puppet Play (Full Premium Program)
Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes total
Puppet Show: 45 minutes (2 performers)
Puppet Play: 30 minutes (Kindy or Babies session)
This premium incursion delivers two high-quality experiences in one visit. Children first enjoy the theatre-style Puppet Show, followed immediately by a hands-on Puppet Play or Puppets For Babies session. This seamless transition deepens engagement and extends learning.
