Larrikin Puppets offers fun, gentle, hands-on puppet play experiences for ages 3-5 designed especially for early years learning settings in kindy, childcare, playgroups, and libraries.
Aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), our play-based incursions invite children to explore imagination, movement, storytelling and connection through guided puppet play with a member of our experienced Larrikin Puppets team.
Delivered in small groups to maximise participation and belonging, each session centres play as the vehicle for learning – supporting children’s growth in identity, communication, wellbeing, confidence and active engagement.
Across both Kids Puppet Play and Shadow Puppet Play, children are supported to:
- develop fine motor skills and hand–eye coordination
- strengthen gross motor skills through movement and expressive play
- use language, voice and gesture to communicate ideas
- build confidence and social skills through shared play
- explore creative thinking, storytelling and problem-solving
- strengthen a sense of belonging through collaborative group experiences
