We have another exciting music video collaboration announcement coming soon!
On Thursday, 29 October 2020 we had the great pleasure of meeting a group of very popular, award winning musicians and posing with our puppet characters for a photo shoot.
Our next meeting with these artists will be the filming of a crazy new music video for a song that will be a POP ANTHEM! Don’t be surprised if you start to see our characters Troggg, Flossy, Frazzamatazz and Freerange the Chicken all over the place very soon in photos and video clips associated with these VERY popular and talented acts.
Short trailer of a web series I recently had the pleasure of performing the puppet character on! Can’t wait to share the whole series with you! – Brett.

Monday, 28 September 2020: From this week, three of our new kids songs – Dance Like A Unicorn, You Can Be Kind and I Know All The Things – will be playing on Little Rockers Radio, a social enterprise radio station for kids aged 6 and under plus their parents and carers. We’re a little bit excited here at Larrikin Puppets!!! And by a little we actually mean a lot!
On Saturday, 10 June 2017, Elissa and I had a lovely time with our children’s entertainment and activity provider industry peers at the 2017 National What’s On 4 Kids Conference and Awards.
The guest speakers at the conference taught us a lot about our industry and all the different ways we can share our services with parents and teachers.
We even got to meet TV stars Tina Harris and Mark Harris from Lah-Lah’s Big Live Band – as seen nationally on ABC Kids, Channel Seven and Nick Jr.
The awards night was a fun gala dinner where we recognised all the entertainers and activity providers around Australia who are doing great things for kids.
We were a finalist in the ‘Best Party Entertainment’ category.
Best Children’s Party Entertainment (Party Planners and Entertainers, Clowns etc) sponsored by Lah Lah’s Big Live Band
To be a finalist is a big deal in itself! And while other categories all had five finalists, ours had seven! A huge congratulations to the winning finalist Kids Disco Parties. They provide kids around Melbourne with awesome dance parties at schools and birthday events each week!
We brought Troggg and Flossy along to bring lots of smiles and laughter to everybody in attendance at both the conference and the awards, and received a lot of very nice compliments, and posed in a lot of photos and selfies with everybody.
It was a very fun weekend at the Hotel Grand Chancellor in Brisbane.
We’ve been having fun on TikTok lately using characters from Larrikin Puppets to mime along to popular soundbites there. Here’s Flossy doing the Elsa call, and then Troggg with his response. Please follow @larrikinpuppets on TikTok and join in on all the fun!
This simple TikTok video of Freerange the Chicken from Larrikin Puppets miming along to a clucking, squeaky rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen received a little over 400 likes within a few hours of it being uploaded to the app.
We’d love to see you on TikTok. Please follow us there: @larrikinpuppets is our handle.
Part of the fun of TikTok is miming along to various soundbites. Each TikTok account tries to be creative with unique takes on how they present the dialogue or music available to them. Here is Marina being all cute and miming along to the Cuppycake song. Enjoy! And please follow @larrikinpuppets on TikTok and like all our little videos there.
Do you ever have a dream? Marina tries to explain hers to Troggg on this silly little TikTok video. Please follow @larrikinpuppets on TikTok and like our videos there.
Part of the fun of TikTok is miming along to soundbites, music and dialogue from various sources. The challenge is to present your own take in a creative way. For us we felt that Marina would be the child’s voice talking about the dream, and Troggg would be the one listening and trying to stay attentive.
You can find Larrikin Puppets on TikTok with our silly short skits and songs. The TikTok handle for Larrikin Puppets is simply @larrikinpuppets. Here’s one such TikTok video of Troggg with the Cheesecake singing along with Louis Armstrong.
We would really appreciate it if you downloaded the TikTok app and liked this video there. If you’re already on the app please follow us and join in on the fun.
Troggg and Marina were special guests on Instagram Live with Chef Jason Roberts who cooked up some delicious meals for kids on his G’day Neighbour segment. Here’s the footage of Troggg and Marina with Chef Jason Roberts during the Instagram Live broadcast on Thursday, 9 April 2020 (during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown/isolation period).
In 2019, we visited Sydney a couple of times to film some footage with Chef Jason Roberts for a special TV pilot starring the puppets. All of this is on hold right now, so live streaming is where it’s at for all entertainers and people who produce both live theatre and film & TV media content.
