Puppet People: A Snapshot of Australian Puppetry

A wonderful free exhibition celebrating Australian puppetry was held at the
Tony Gould Gallery at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) in Brisbane.
The exhibition featured an impressive collection of puppets from around Australia, including
pieces generously loaned by South Australian puppeteer Keith Preston from
Preston’s Historic Punch & Judy.
Visiting the Exhibition
The Tony Gould Gallery is located on the ground floor at the entrance to the Cremorne Theatre,
facing the Brisbane River and approximately halfway along the riverside of the QPAC building.
The closest parking is the Performing Arts Car Park, with the Grey Street entrance to the
Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre also nearby.
During exhibition seasons, the gallery was open Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00am to 4:00pm,
with free admission.
