* Thursday, 17 March @ Bunnings Warwick – “Easter Family Night”, 6:45pm.
* Friday, 25 March (Good Friday) @ Redcliffe Sails Festival (Suttons Beach, Redcliffe), 10:45am.
* Monday, 28 March (Easter Monday) @ Seagulls Club (Tweed Heads), 2pm NSW time (1pm QLD time if you’re coming down from Brisbane or the Gold Coast).
* Thursday, 7 April @ South Bank Parklands – “Little Days Out”: 3 Puppet Shows, 9am – 1pm.
* Saturday, 16 April @ Ipswich Festival – “Creative Kidz”: 2 Puppet Shows + Roving Puppetry, 12pm – 5pm.
Larrikin Puppets will be performing several private birthday party shows and other events during this time also. Remember to fill out our booking enquiry form if you’d like to have Troggg and the gang perform a puppet show at YOUR event!
Please note, we will be based in Brooklyn, New York (USA) throughout May, June and July. But we’ll be back in Brisbane (Australia) from August. We have openings for more public puppet shows (and private ones) between January and April, and from August onwards. Get in early for those Christmas parties and festivals!

Puppets Officiate Wedding!
Did everyone see that awesome Buzzfeed article about the couple in California who had a puppet wedding? It was absolutely brilliant! And exactly the kind of unique and quirky bookings we would like to be doing here in Australia!
California couple Tammy Caplan and Joe Gold are huge fans of Sesame Street and The Muppets (as are we), so they decided to not only have a puppet as the celebrant, but also a rabbi puppet, a judge puppet, a ring bear (yes, it was a bear – you have to see this!), a ship’s captain, and a crazy monster!
The whole thing was scripted and performed before a congregation of family and friends who had NO IDEA that this is what they were in for! They even had a big sing-along session!

Child Care Centres Love Puppets!
Troggg and friends have had a fantastic year so far making friends with students and teachers at child care centres, schools and vacation care centres.
It started with two fun puppet shows for kids with autism at the AEIOU Early Learning Centre, located on campus at the Sunshine Coast University. In addition to the performance from the puppet stage, the kids got to meet each puppet up close throughout the show too!
Then it was off to the St. Margaret’s Anglican Girls School Advent Centre in Clayfield where the kids were greeted first thing on a Friday morning with a puppet show for two of the students celebrating birthdays.
From there, we did a whirlwind tour of eight Guppy’s Early Learning Centres around South-East Queensland, and had an absolute blast performing for everyone! We started in Caboolture, followed by Runcorn, Chermside West, Deagon, Beerwah, Thornlands, Nerang and Blackbutt.
Then it was off to Ormeau to perform at the PCYC Mother Terasa School Age Care. After the puppet show, the kids made some lovely cards filled with positive feedback.
Coming up, we’re doing another tour of child care centres run by Avenues Early Learning Centre. Starting in Norman Park, we’ll then head to Runcorn Heights, Cannon Hill, Bowen Hills, Shailer Park, Sunnybank Hills, Sunnybank, and then a show at Park Ridge Early Childhood Centre.

Since March 2015, Larrikin Puppets were proud to present
The Super Weekend Show — a vibrant children’s stage production at
Studio Theatre & Café (647 Wynnum Rd, Morningside).
Presented at 11am on selected Saturdays, puppets were joined by costumed
characters and live magic for one joyful hour of singing, dancing, competitions,
jokes, games and prizes.
A celebration of classic, old-fashioned family entertainment — filled with colour, laughter and audience participation.
Princess & Pirates – Encore Performance
Encore performance presented Saturday 6 June 2015 (11am).
Princess Flossy’s stolen treasure had been misplaced by the Pirate King and his
first mate Troggg. With the help of Carol the Kangaroo, the crew travelled across
Brisbane locations including Algestarrrrr, Bulimbarrrr and Cannon Hill in search of clues.
At each destination, interactive games were revealed for children in the audience,
with prizes awarded throughout the adventure.
Young audience members were encouraged to attend in Princess or Pirate
fancy dress, transforming the theatre into a sea of crowns and treasure maps.
